Updated my Justice League: War Wonder Woman piece and turned it into a print! Debuted it at Wizard World Austin this past weekend!
I drew some more Wonder Woman! This time in her Justice League: War costume!
So Ben Affleck okay sure whatever. WHERE IS THE WONDER WOMAN MOVIE.
Did a quick full body drawing of that Wonder Woman I drew out last month. Not sure if she should have a skirt or boots.
Yesterday on twitter a bunch of guys and I were lamenting about how there are no Wonder Woman comics being made for their daughters and nieces. That night I started designing a Wonder Woman for a comic aimed at young girls and this is what I came up with. I want to draw more of her soon, maybe even do a full cover thing.
Doodles and stuff from last night. Nice to be drawing without the computer again.
Another Wonder Woman doodle. I don’t know what it is, I like red and white on her more than red and yellow.
Wonder Woman redesign.
So it’s not really a skirt, as much as it is fabric she wraps around herself. If you look at Wonder Woman’s original design, she had a skirt and only the tiara was yellow; the rest of the parts traditionally yellow were all white. I know it’s a little too patriotic for some people’s taste, but I think getting rid of the yellow all together works surprisingly well.
Also, original there were no stars on Wonder Woman’s tiara, but they were on her belt, and they were four sided stars. I went back to those.
Oh also I gave her a cape and a shirt that covered up her boobs but still shows off her arms, because come on.
I always thought it would be really cool if Wonder Woman were played up as a role-reversed Zelda game and she’d have to save Steve Trevor from Hades or something. Costume is basically one of Colleen Doran’s excellent redesigns but I tweaked it a little. Also the palette is ripped almost 100% from Winder Waker, which is my favorite Zelda game. Anyway yeah, hope you like it.
It’s a giveaway! A Trinity Mothers giveaway!
I’ll be exhibiting at MoCCA festival this April and selling this print and other prints of my work. Whatever’s left over I’ll probably sell online later this year but until then, you could win this 11 x 17 print here on tumblr!
All you have to do is like and reblog this post (as many times as you want) until February 12th which is when I’ll choose a random winner, who I’ll ship it to for free.
Wow, I hope I’m doing this giveaway thing right.
Remember when I took Jeremy Roberts’ DCnU Superman illustration…and made a fake cover with it that sent the Internet into a tizzy for a day? Well, Fox News doesn’t.
This thing got so much circulation, I wish I’d put my OWN art on the cover. But then it probably wouldn’t have gotten that much attention in the first place.
