Been really getting back into Ditko Spidey lately. The Lizard at the top is how I wish he looked in the movie, but I get that he didn’t because the actor wouldn’t have been able to emote.

Somebody posted looking for design critiques and I took a stab at refining his costume. Figured I’d post it up.

Because I’m a glutton, another shirt is up for votes on threadless. Maybe we’ll make it this time! The hand kind of looks like Dr. Doom but it’s not. I just inked it that way because I learned to draw metal from Essential Fantastic Four books.

Tried to figure out a new approach to Falcon, and then I realized that he’d wear a helmet. And then I realized that hang gliding helmets are the coolest helmets ever, so I modeled it after them. 

I changed her bikini into workout clothes and gave her a haircut. That’s pretty much it. Not sure if I should have done more with her teeth necklace so I just kind of left it. Might be wise to leave it off when I draw the whole team together. 

So this is me combining a bunch of movies about robots I really like and projecting them all onto Vision. His appearance is a mixture of inspiration from Prime Superman in All Star Superman, Futura the robot from Metropolis, and then I loosely based his face off of Deckard from Blade Runner for kicks. I also imagine him with T-1000 powers, so he can shape-shift his cool gold metal into stuff. So yeah, Vision 2.0 I guess. I wanted to give him ears too but it looked too weird, so I settled for real irises instead. 

Looked up the fashion trends this year because Janet’s a fashion designer. Saw 60s and decided a mod Wasp would look pretty cool. Hope you guys like it, it was a lot of fun to make. 

My Avengers redesign kick continues with Scarlet Witch. Hope you guys like this one, I’m really happy with how it turned out. Tried to make her a little less Ren Faire and a little more Kirby. 

I know nobody’s gonna like this one, but I figure I may as well post it since it’s what I’ve been doing for the past 40ish minutes. Wonder Man’s new mask is based off of Racer X’s from the underrated live action Speed Racer movie.
